2018 Kick Off
Aidan smashes the field with a monster!

MoGGs - Match day 1 - Resul!s Service  - 13th Friday 2018

Unlucky for some, but not Aidan Delahunt! Little brother Aidan day was just brilliant, not only did he post a monster score on a very wet muddy track at Theydon, but he watched big bro pick up shortest drive! Oh the joy! Aidan's 41 was just enough to hold back Sean Bennett with another great score of 40 points and Luke Brownlee finishing a couple of points further back to grab 3rd place! New boy Graham Butterworth hit a huge drive on the mud pack 16th to claim his 1st MoGGs prize! New boy to young boy, little JBC helped himself to the NTP with a great shot on the 18th in front of his fans, but accordingly to reports he his behind on his homework! Four ball was pick up by Aidan, Ade, Sean and WBC smashing the field! Stu and Luke won the pairs with a combine score higher than anyone else! Really!!!  Texas in the morning was won by Dean, Mark, Pip and
Niall with a 3 under! Won on count back!! Awful conditions and hats off to the winners - some great scoring in tough conditions - see you all at haverhill - Including you Johnnie Hellmers!!

Next Up - Return to Theydon! 13th April 2018

The doors are open for MoGGs Match Day One at Theydon - Lodge your intentions quickly or your could end up been draw with the 'Snake in the Grass'!

The MoGGs kick off 2018 with a gentle stroll around the mid Essex beauty of Theydon Bois on the 13th April 2018.  Notable for 3 things last season, Ian Anderson's brilliant 39 points to win the day, the tight, tricky course and of course Stu Gardener's shortest drive that actually hit the club house and several other buildings along the way! Looking forward to see you all there in the Spring of 2018!

The Books!

A change in the MoGGs accounting team at the beginning of 2017 to drive a little more transparency has revealed a £11072 turnover in 2017 and a profit of 8.57% of which £600 was donated the 'Ruin Our Liver Society' on the 2nd Dec 2017 leaving the club to carry £349 into 2018. The society averaged 33.6 players per outing (excluding Dunston) which is the second highest in it history. The highest being 33.8.

Season 2017 - In Review!

Turn around season!

The MoGGs turned itself up side down this season, the King of the KOK's winning the COC and the Champion of the COC's winning the KOK! With me so far? All you really need to know about the season 2017, its the year of the 'Meltpole'! Ade Doble became a maiden and Mad Morgan cleaned up!

The season started off with 2013 triple winning Ian Anderson back amongst the prizes with a solid 39 points to win Theydon. Then we moved up to Cambridgeshire for the Meridian were you pass 8 time zones and home of the 'snake in the grass', this saw Mark Manley bring home his 5th MoGGs win with a huge 45 points in fact the top three bundled in with 40 points plus! Then the summer saw TW with a double, firstly at Dunston, looking dead and buried with 9 holes left and trailing Johnnie Walpole by 9 points, possibly the greatest collapse or the greatest MoGGs comeback - you decide! Anyhow the infamous 'Meltpole' was born, faded with 11 points on the back with TW posting a 3 under 23 points on the last nine holes, Meltpole who had the trophy in his hands actually ended up 4th! With Matt Knight and Sam Delahunt posted decent scores to challenge the lead! Still celebrating his Norwich 1st TW also won at Braintree after a triple count back with Dean Moore and Sam Delahunt. Then off to Stortford for the 1st time under the new MoGGs management and on count back Pete Hellmers put WBC to the sword. With a great 37 points on a very windy day! The back to the Manor to see Ade Doble lose his cherry  and Mad to clean up! Despite Colin finishing 16th Meridian, he's impressive season was backed up by two 2nd's, a 3rd and 6th place finish - just brilliant over a season and a worthy 'Champion of Champions'. Paul Dusty Miller picked up the Scooby Shield pushing Mad to the last holes and only being 4 points behind! Colin's great season was summed up by a 3 point win in the final of the Ta Dah! Great season Mr Morgan your the man! Well done on your super wins! Defo 'Player of the Season'!
